The high-quality training of our employees is amongst the major goals and priorities pursued by the company’s management.
After applying for free financial aid, on 20 May 2008 Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD started a project entitled “PORTAL" under the Human Resource Development Operational Programme, Budget Line: BG 051PO 001/07/2.1-01, ESF Employee Training and Qualification Services. The preliminary project is related to providing instruction in the English language for workers, permanently employed at Varna and Burgas airports. The funds granted for its implementation amount to 91.442.68 leva, whereas our contribution as a Leading company amounts to 39.189.72 leva. The programme implementation period is 18 months, whereas reporting the full scope of the project activities is due on 31 December 2009. The number of employees instructed is 215, whereas the programme includes different levels of teaching General, Aviation and Business English, as well as communication skills. Besides, the course includes video presentations. Amongst the partners and instructing organisations under the project are Bulgarian and English Language School OOD, Co., providing instruction for VarnaAirport employees and Euro Alliance ООD, Co., providing instruction for BurgasAirport employees. The English course ended May 2009, and the final exams took place straight after 26 May. Also, the programme schedule includes additional promotional activities and a closing Forum.
