To 18 destinations in 12 countries are performed regular flights to and from Varna airport during the summer season: UK, Austria, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Belgium, Moldova, Switzerland.
Flights to Sofia are several times every day.
Seven times a week from Varna is performed a connection with the capitals of Austria (Vienna) and the UK (London - Gatwick and Luton airports).
Nine times a week are flights to Hungarian capital Budapest.
Regular flights to Russia are performed to Moscow airports Domodedovo and Sheremetievo, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Rostov

National wine and pickles at Varna airport

A Bulgarian typical "grocery store" has enjoyed huge success among Varna airport passengers since the middle of this month.
The store (such as so-called. "Gourmet shops”) located in the Departure area is offering traditional Bulgarian products.
National wine and spirits, sausages, pickles, cheese, delight, jams, honey, herbs are arranged in a traditional Bulgarian atmosphere - including woodcarving and rugs with the sound of beautiful Bulgarian folk music.
Almost every product is designed as a souvenir.
The most preferred products in the first days after the "grocery" opening are sheep cheese, pickles and biltong.

Varna airport welcomed the first charter tourists for the Summer season

Varna Airport welcomed the first charter tourists at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast for the Summer season. Guests arrived from Frankfurt and Dusseldorf, with a "Bulgarian Air Charter” flight on a program of the German tour operator "Kur-Club". Varna airport welcomed the guests according to Bulgarian tradition with bread and salt, and fresh spring flowers.
At a present 34 airlines have planned flights at Varna Airport and their number will increase. The new charter destinations for the Summer season are Wroclaw (Poland), Bergamo (Italy) and Aarhus (Denmark)

Moscow is now just two and a half hours from Varna in the winter

Varna airport welcomed the first passengers from the new year-round scheduled flights to Moscow by old Bulgarian custom with bread and salt. Bulgarian red rose and an official tourist guide of the sea capital of Bulgaria gave Varna airport and a general representative of S7 Airlines - Travel Agency Solvex Ltd each of the passengers on the occasion of launching the line. The departing passengers to Moscow received a souvenir from Bulgaria.
In winter season, the new regular flights are performed twice a week - Monday and Thursday. The time of arrival of the plane from Moscow to Varna is 13.40 p.m. and departure time from Varna to Moscow - 14.30 p.m

New directions in the winter timetable at the airport

From 25 October with new opportunity for travel operates the winter timetable at Varna airport.
Moscow is now just two and a half hours from the Bulgarian Black Sea. S7Airlines are going to start year-round flights to the Russian capital, twice a week. Novelty in the winter season are low cost airline Wizz Air’s scheduled flights to London (Luton). They perform once a week. Convenient flights to and from Varna airport in the whole year are performed also to Sofia, Vienna and Budapest.
Domestic Flights:
Flights to Sofia are performed in the convenient time every day of the week by Bulgaria Air. Wizz Air connects Varna with the capital of Bulgaria on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday

5 Years since launching Varna – Budapest scheduled flights

For the last five years airplanes to Budapest – Varna – Budapest scheduled flights are “circeled” 29 times the Globe
|
|
140,000 passengers flew on board Boeing 737-600, Fokker 70, CRJ and DH4 aircraft using Malev airlines’ Budapest-Varna-Budapest scheduled services over the last 5 years. 1,420 flights were performed, and the distance covered by the airplanes equals 29 rounds around the globe.
In the first five months of the year, with Malev airlines to Budapest – Varna – Budapest scheduled flights were flown over 15 000 passengers.
The flight to the Hungarian capital was the first restored international scheduled service in the airport’s new history. It launched on 3 June 2004 and the initial plan was for Malev to offer three weekly flights in the summer season only

The First Charter Tourists Arrived at Varna Airport

The ladies, being most of the guests, have received one Bulgarian rose each.
The veterans - 150 people have arrived on 12th of March with a flight from Moscow.
This is the first group of veterans from all four that will relax in Kamchiya resort under the social program of the Moscow government. More groups of 350 children and students each are coming from June the 4th until the end of August.
