Today, the pupils Dessislava Stefanova, Iliyana Eneva, Toni Yancheva and Tsvetomir Avramov from the Varna High School of Commerce “Georgi Stoykov Rakovski” and the High School of Mathematics “Dr. Petar Beron” have been involved in the management of Varna airport.
For another year in a row Varna airport have participated in the initiative “Manager for one day” and thus the young talented people have had the chance to feel the real business environment.
Within one working day the pupils succeeded to acquaint with the activities at the airport, to closely follow the operational work at the airport that is to service aircraft and passengers

Airports in Varna and Burgas, operated by Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD marked an increase in passengers handled in 2012. Their numbers reached a total of 3,602,004 passengers. This is a 4.9% growth compared to the previous year.
Key markets at the airports in Varna and Burgas remain Germany and Russia. For the second consecutive year, the Russian market has a notably strong and increasing presence at the two airports. The most preferred destination with a journey starting from the two airports remains the Russian capital Moscow.

Everyday Bulgaria Air carries out flights to Sofia in convenient hours.
The flights to Vienna of the Austrian Airlines are operated every day of the week at 13.30 pm.
Low-cost WizzAir operates direct scheduled flights from Varna to London. The airline connects Varna to the British capital on Wednesday and Sunday. The departure is at 15 pm.

Varna Airport Welcomes Millionth Passenger for 2012

Varna airport has organized and official welcome of the one millionth passenger, serviced for thecurrent year, who landed today (03.09.2012) with flight of S7 Airlines from Moscow.
The name of the special guest is Larisa Nazarova, who arrived from the Russian capital together with her husband Nikolay and their son Alexey. The tourists are coming for a first time in Bulgaria and for the next couple of weeks will be on holiday at “St. Constantine and Helena” resort. Bulgaria as a tourist destination was recommended from colleagues of Larisa. The guests were left fascinated by the reception at the airport and the start of their holiday in Bulgaria

Summer Fiesta at Varna Airport

Creative Aeromodelism Workshop

The children of Varna city, attracted by the magic of aviation, joined the aeromodelism workshop at Varna airport organized today on the International Day of Aviation and Astronautics- April 12 by Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD.
For about an hour the children assembled and decorated models of aircraft under the guidance of experienced aero-modellers. Young talents had also the opportunity to see and participate in the assembly of the 3D airplane origami-model.
The children were lead to the fine points of aeromodelism assisted by Krassen Kalchev- employee at the airport and enthusiastic aero-modeller and Valentina Miteva inspired to make origami models

Opportunity to participate in the management process at Varna airport had the students Madleine Koleva and Anzhela Angelova from the Varna Commercial Secondary School "Georgi Sava Rakovski".
Their leader in the management of Varna airport was the director of Varna airport Dimitar Kostadinov. The students visited the "Security" department and the Airport Operation Center and had a chance to see in practice the process of passenger and aircraft service.
