Since 2006 Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD is the concessionaire and operator of Varna International Airport. Using a mixture of local expertise and Fraport’s AG expertise gained in a number of international airport projects worldwide, the company has developed the Master Plan for the future development of Varna Airport. In 2008 the document has been broadly discussed in the public and approved by the different regional and state authorities.

The Master Plan reflects the requirements of the demanding air travel industry and describes in details all infrastructure developments required to meet the expected passenger growth within the next 20 years.
